EMDR Confidence is based on the simple idea that while learning EMDR is one thing, feeling confident with it is another.

About

Many therapists finish training and still feel unsure in the room. That’s normal. But that lack of confidence can hold you back from really stepping into the work.

This space is for therapists who want support, clarity, and a place to grow—not just in skill, but in confidence too. Whether you’re considering being trained in EMDR Therapy, already trained and wanting to pursue certification, or feeling stuck with certain clients and need a colleague to bounce ideas off of, I’m here for you!

Building Expertise.

Expertise

I’m Beau Armistead, an EMDRIA-approved consultant and founder of Sojourn Counseling in Birmingham, Alabama. I’ve been practicing EMDR for over a decade, and I’ve learned that confidence is just as important as knowing the protocol. My goal is simple: help you feel steady, capable, and grounded in your work so you can provide the best EMDR therapy for your clients.
